YMCA specialty programs offer opportunities for children to explore their specific interests, including Art, LEGO, science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and more. ART WORKSHOPS
Is there a budding artist creating in your living room or at your kitchen table? Sign up your little artist for one of our Art workshops. During their time in our discovery art workshops, our team will work to teach them new techniques, evolve their personal artistic style, and foster a creative spirit through all their endeavors. Our workshops will offer sculpting, painting, mixed media, recycled art, and elements of art.
LEGO WORKSHOPS
Does your child have a special interest in LEGO’s they want to explore more? The Y LEGO workshops can spark your child’s passion for all things LEGO®. Build creations from a huge selection of plans or create your own with the help of our knowledgeable counselors. Children will also have the opportunity to participate in competitions to win prizes.
STEM WORKSHOPS
The Y STEM Lab will be in full swing with your scientists as they learn, explore, design, and test hands-on concepts as they build a variety of STEM projects. Bricks, blocks, sticks, and more. Young engineers will build creations each week in this STEM-themed workshop. Our team will provide weekly challenges that children will work to solve all while having fun and engaging in one-of-a-kind creations! We will take STEM to the next level with our future engineers!
SCHOOL READINESS WORKSHOPS
Children will leap into engaging hands-on learning, exploration, and making new friends in our safe and structured School Readiness Workshops. Our caring and trained Y counselors will lead small group activities, fine motor art activities, sing-a-longs, games and outdoor activities. During the workshops, children will learn life, social, and educational skills each day.
