PICKLEBALL

Pickleball is a fun sport that utilizes elements of badminton, table tennis and tennis. Pickleball is played on a badminton court with players using wooden paddles and a plastic ball with holes. It's easy for beginners to learn and can be played as single, double or team format.

The YMCA offers pickleball at the Paula G. Manship YMCA, YMCA Lamar Tennis Center and Americana YMCA.


Americana YMCA offers 4 outdoor dedicated pickleball courts and 2 Indoor Courts.


Paula G. Manship YMCA offers 3 Indoor Pickleball Courts in the Gymnasium


Lamar Tennis Center offers 5 outdoor dedicated pickleball courts.

  • Pickleball Open Play

    Americana YMCA

    • 4 pickleball courts, no reservations required, open during normal business hours   
    • Open play available Monday through Saturday 7:30am - 11am & Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6:30pm - close.
    • Pickleball leagues, playdays, beginners clinics, improvers clinics and private lessons
    • Paddles available to borrow inside the pro shop

    Paula G. Manship YMCA

    • 3 indoor pickleball courts, no reservations required
    • Open play from 8am-3pm, Tuesday and Thursday 


    YMCA Lamar Tennis Center

    • 5 pickleball courts with Douglas Nets that can be reserved 4 days in advanced for Lamar Tennis Center Members.   
    • Monday Nights and Wednesday Nights  6pm (for all levels 3.0 and up) Free for LTC/$8 YMCA/$10 Program Participant
    • Pickleball leagues, playdays, beginners clinics, improvers clinics and private lessons

  • Pickleball Organized Play

  • Pickleball 101

    A beginners class that meets once a week and goes over all the basics and fundamentals of pickleball to help get you started playing the game.


    1 day/week


    Ages: 12 yrs+  


    Cost: LTC Members: $75; Members: $95; Program members: $110

  • Junior Pickleball

    Inermediate Pickleball Camp where participants will learn all the basics and the camp will end with a tournament. Offered at Americana YMCA.


    Ages: 6 - 18


    2 days a week


    Cost: Members: $120; Program members: $150

  • Pickleball Clinic

    Intermediate Clinic (3.0-3.5) Tuesdays 9:00am-10:30am learning all parts of the game, blocking volleys, topspin volleys, driving, dropping and learning the transition area!


    Beginners Clinic Wednesdays 9:00am-10:30am learn all the basic shots in pickleball!

    Advanced Clinic (3.5 and up) – Thursday 9-10:30a drills designed to improve court coverage and patterns of play!

  • Pickleball Private Lessons

    Private lessons to improve and develop pickleball skills.
