PICKLEBALL

Pickleball is a fun sport that utilizes elements of badminton, table tennis and tennis. Pickleball is played on a badminton court with players using wooden paddles and a plastic ball with holes. It's easy for beginners to learn and can be played as single, double or team format.

The YMCA offers pickleball at the Paula G. Manship YMCA, Lamar Tennis Center and the Americana YMCA.


Americana YMCA offers 4 outdoor dedicated pickleball courts.



Paula G. Manship YMCA, Lamar Tennis Center offers 5 outdoor dedicated pickleball courts.

Pickleball Programs:

  • Pickleball Open Play

    Americana YMCA

    • 4 pickleball courts, no reservations required, open during normal business hours   
    • Open play available Monday through Saturday 7:30am - 11am & Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6:30pm - close.
    • Pickleball leagues, playdays, beginners clinics, improvers clinics and private lessons
    • Paddles available to borrow inside the pro shop

    Paula G. Manship YMCA, Lamar Tennis Center

    • 5 pickleball courts with Douglas Nets that can be reserved 4 days in advanced for Lamar Tennis Center Members.   
    • Pickleball leagues, playdays, beginners clinics, improvers clinics and private lessons

  • Pickleball 101

    A beginners class that meets once a week and goes over all the basics and fundamentals of pickleball to help get you started playing the game.

  • Jr. Pickleball Camp

    Inermediate Pickleball Camp where participants will learn all the basics and the camp will end with a tournament.

    2nd Annual Mixed Doubles and Crawfish Classic


    Come visit the Americana YMCA and enjoy a fun day of mixed doubles pickleball and fried catfish. This will be a round robin format with 2 games to 11 win by 1. All levels are welcome!
