The YMCA of the Capital Area has a variety of childcare and camp options available. With a focus on Youth Development, the Y is committed to nurturing the potential of each child through programs that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement.
Parents have trusted YMCA childcare for generations because our caring, trained staff foster skill development, inclusion and a fun environment.
Before and after school programs at the Y focus on nurturing a child’s development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn and grow after school. Available for children in grades K-5.
The Y’s early learning program is staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the support parents and families need and the importance of maintaining a safe, clean environment for children to learn and thrive.
The Parent’s Night Out program gives parents a chance to go to a movie, run errands, or simply relax while the children have a fun-filled night. Dinner is included. Activities includes swimming, crafts, games, and movies.
Let your children spend their Teacher Workdays and School Holidays with the YMCA. These days are the perfect break from school.
YMCA Summer Camps are full-day summer camps held at the YMCA. These summer camps include a wide variety of activities such as swimming, games, arts and crafts and sports.
Each week of summer camp features a different theme and activities.
