It is with great sadness that we are announcing the closure of our C. B. Pennington Jr. YMCA on February 1, 2025. The past several years have been challenging for our Y and we have experienced an increase of staffing costs, insurance and a growing loss of revenue since the Flood of 2016 and COVID. Closure of the C. B. Pennington Jr. YMCA was a last resort and one we do not take lightly. We are thankful for the many years of support from our donors, staff, volunteers, members and community. As we know this is not an outcome any of us wanted, in a time of sadness, we’d like to celebrate all the good we’ve done for the community for the past 47 years. Thank you for your support during this difficult time for our Y.
