The Y has partnered with Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area to provide free, confidential memory screenings to individuals concerned about memory loss. November 1: ExxonMobil YMCA
November 2: Paula G. Manship YMCA
November 8: Dow Westside YMCA

The annual Taste of Zachary Food Festival presented by the Americana YMCA will be held Saturday, November 17, from 1 P.M. - 4 P.M. at the Pointe at Americana. Please contact the Americana YMCA at 225-654-9622 for more information.
The Y celebrates Military Family Month each November as a way to recognize the dedication and sacrifice of servicemen and women and their families. Deployment can be a stressful and uncertain time for servicemen and women and their families, but the Y has ways we can help. Our Military Outreach Initiative helps to provide memberships to military members and their families who may not live near a military facility and need access to child development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programming.Click here for more information on how this program can help you and your family.
During National Diabetes Awareness Month, the YMCA of the Capital Area is encouraging individuals to learn their risks for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes and to take preventive steps to potentially reduce their chances of developing the disease.Individuals can assess their risk for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes by taking a risk assessment. Through this assessment, participants can also learn how lifestyle choices and family history help determine the ultimate risk for developing the disease.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Southside YMCA Fall Fete! Nearly 200 people enjoyed an evening of food, fellowship and fundraising at the Pennington Biomedical Center on October 12th, 2018. The Y raised more than $18,000 to benefit the Southside YMCA’s Financial Assistance program.
Thank you to the sponsors, donors, volunteers and participants who made this year's auction a success! The monies raised will be used to provide scholarships for children, adults, families and seniors who need the Y's life-changing programs but are unable to afford them. Thank you for helping us make a difference in our community!
