Angel Tree

by YMCA of Capital Area Administrator | Oct 22, 2018

On November 23, the YMCA of the Capital Area will be hosting its 15th annual Angel Tree Program. Community members will be able to come to the Y and select an angel from a branch’s Christmas tree. Each angel will state a child’s gender, age and their requested gift to open on Christmas morning. The Y asks that all gifts be donated by December 16 so that gifts can be distributed to families in time for Christmas morning.

The angels on our tree are children in our Saturday outreach program which takes place at the park behind Bon Carre off of Florida Blvd, children in the Live2Serve program at the Baranco-Clark YMCA, children who are on YMCA scholarships and children who are currently in foster care. All angels qualify to receive free and/or reduced lunches at school.

Donations to the YMCA of the Capital Area will also be accepted for the benefit of the Annual Communuty Support Campaign. The ACS campaign is a scholarship fund for underprivileged children, families, adults and seniors who are unable to afford YMCA programs.
