BRING A FRIEND MONTH
A workout is a little more fun with a friend! Join us for AuGUEST month and bring a friend to enjoy the Y with you! Members can bring one friend per visit. Guest are limited to three visits.
 
 
CHRISTIAN VALUES CONFERENCE
 
 
Last month, several of our teens and chaperones traveled to North Carolina for the Christian Values Conference, hosted by the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly. Over the course of five days, attendees were trained and equipped for Christian leadership through workshops in a variety of subjects, including devotions, storytelling, prayer, discipline, chapel, values education and Y initiatives. We are excited to welcome our teens back home and congratulate them on another successful conference.

 
LIFEGUARD OLYMPICS
Skills were put to the test during our Annual Lifeguard Olympics. Lifeguards from across the association participated in rescue drills, brick treading, relay races and team competitions.Click here to see photos from the event and click here to see a video from the event!
 

 
REGISTER FOR FALL SPORTS
Looking for a fun way to keep the kids active this fall? Sign up for fall sports! We are offering soccer, flag football, tackle football and volleyball. For more information on dates, ages, etc. or to register, visit our website at ymcabr.org/sports.
 

 
 
NEW PROGRAMS
Want a new way to workout without using weights or machines? Our NEW TRX equipment will help you perform hundreds of exercises that build, burn, tone and strengthen. Check out the new TRX Training Studio at the Charles W. Lamar, Jr. YMCA! The new studio offers infinite possibilities and workouts to build your strength, endurance, balance and flexibility. The studio also offers non-motorized treadmills that will help you build endurance while refining your form.

HEALTHY BLUE
Healthy Blue Summer Boot Camp participants performed a special thank you presentation for Healthy Blue, to thank them for their continued sponsorship of camp at the ExxonMobil YMCA.

 
JCPENNEY CARES
This back-to-school season, JCPenney is building on its signature partnership with the Y and helping to give teens across the country access to Y programming. JCPenney will donate $1 to the Y for every Instagram post that uses #AZYouGive from Aug. 1-31, up to $100,000. Additionally, from Aug. 1-15, in-store/back-to-school shoppers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar and the difference will be donated to the Y.
