As you change your calendar from December to January, there’s always a bit of a thrill in the promise of a new year that’s full of potential. The New Year is chance to start fresh and say goodbye to any of the frustrations the previous year held—a perfect opportunity to make resolutions that will help strengthen one’s spirit, mind and body. The YMCA of the Capital Area hosted its annual staff appreciation dinner on December 10 at Boudreaux’s. In addition to the great food and music from The Now Band, several staff members were recognized for their commitment and support to the Y. Congrats to the staff who were recognized:

Kick start your resolution with our annual Resolution Solution Bingo at the Y! Bingo is a fun and easy way to get moving again after the holiday season. Cross off boxes such as “Complete 30 minutes of cardio on a bike machine” or “Attend a group exercise class.” Win a free t-shirt for completing Bingo, and additional prizes for making an ‘X’ on your card or blacking it out! Bingo cards are available now at all branches’ front desks.
