Child Care

Before/Afterschool Care

Every day, one in four kids is left unsupervised after school, increasing the risk of negative influences and activities. The Y’s afterschool program provides supervised, safe spaces for children to build friendships and develop a sense of belonging.

School Closures

Childcare will be available in response to school closures.  The service will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Summer Camp

The YMCA Summer Day Camp Program offers a wide range of opportunities for each child to grow through a variety of planned activities. Campers will enjoy our daily devotionals, field trips, games, arts & crafts, sports, guest speakers and swimming. The campers are then divided into small groups (based on age and gender) and begin rotating through a variety of stations, both indoors (indoor and swimming) and outdoors (outdoor sports and games). Parents say they see positive changes in their kids who spend their summers in a camp environment. The Y’s day camp opportunities offer a place where kids learn to be independent and contribute to a group through social, physical and educational activities.

Go. Learn. Grow.

The Y's childcare programs include the use of Active Science. Active Science promotes social innovation and youth development. Children participate in STEM experiences by interacting with a variety of fun technologies such as activity monitors and mobile tablet devices. The integration of physical activity and learning creates a novel strategy to help close the academic achievement gap, reduce summer learning loss, and address key educational priorities. Children, Families, and YMCA's track progress, monitor results, and earn rewards for prizes.
